Anyone catch the first episode last night? I caught the first half and it was classic Conan. The running montage was funny as well. Don't know if there are any late night fans but I think Conan is going to do real well and with Jimmy Fallan behind him he will never look bad.

He did pretty good I thought.  The only reason I tuned in was to watch Pearl Jam perform a new song.

Him and Will Ferrel are great together.  And Eddie Vedder is getting quite old. 16

I only saw parts.  Saw the beginning till the 1st commercial break, then some of the Will Ferrel interview and Pearl Jam.  Thought it was very good overall from what I saw.  It got a bad review in the NY Times I believe, but the reporter was an obvious Leno fan that isn't quite ready to let go.  I NEVER watched Leno, so Conan is a welcomed addition in my book.  I was always more of a Letterman guy, I guess now it'll come down to who's got the better guests.

I liked it. I haven't watched Conan much for the past year or two although I used to a lot (Ferguson has taken over my preference for the 12:35 slot). I can't stand Leno so it's a big improvement. He did a good job, more than I expected for a first night.

I'm no Pearl Jam fan, so I have to ask... are they always that bad? That performance was just terrible.

I wasn't too impressed with it either.  I didn't like the song all that much, though it was just a first listen so it's tough to judge.  I saw them in concert last year and they're a GREAT live band.  So I'd say it was probably just the song that wasn't all that appealing.

Thanks to that show I've had "Get Out Of My Dreams, Get Into My Car" stuck in my head all day long.

I am a huge Conan fan, as well as a Leno fan. I thought last nights episode was great. I am sure it will continue to do well.

I am also a Conan fan. Never cared much for Leno. Good to see Conan on last night, and his first show was great. Tonight's second show wasn't as good, but hey, it happens. The interview and street stuff was great, the monologue was weak. You can't hit it out of the park all the time.

But I disagree with BLS. Jimmy Fallon sucks. I think Jimmy is a funny guy, but he's out of his realm/element. As a late show host, he's terrible. Craig Ferguson is MUCH better.

Letterman & Leno are guys I think "have their moments". Jimmy Kimmel is weak too.

I never watched Conan much, mostly I can't stay up that late anymore. Don't watch Leno or Letterman really either. Leno'd "Headlines" were always funny, come to this of it, I wish I watched more on Mondays hmm

I've heard Fallon's show is terrible. I'd like to see it once to check, but I think you're right, I don't think he's a talk show interviewer. Then again, his career was going nowhere so I can't blame him for taking the gig. He fits the demo, younger, wacky. But one problem with him is on SNL the only thing he was ever funny at was breaking character (laughing during the skit).  I thought I heard Tracy Morgan didn't like him because of that, he'd steal the laughs & ruin the skit, putting the attention on himself. Anyway it was funny the first couple times he did it, kinda bit off Sandler a bit though, but after a while it started to wear old & predictable.
