Reminds me of Wrestlemania IV when Hogan and Andre didn't have to participate in the first round, and the winner would get a bye into the next round. Neither won, clearing the way for an obvious Savage run to the title.
I do agree that if we do this music tourney again, GNR need to be a light year away from it. There's a built in bias for obvious reasons.
