Based on a "true" story, Lionsgate’s The Haunting in Connecticut charts one family’s terrifying, real-life encounter with the dark forces of the supernatural. When the Campbell family moves to upstate Connecticut, they soon learn that their charming Victorian home has a disturbing history: not only was the house a transformed funeral parlor where inconceivable acts occurred, but the owner’s clairvoyant son Jonah served as a demonic messenger, providing a gateway for spiritual entities to crossover. Now unspeakable terror awaits, when Jonah, the boy who communicated with the powerful dark forces of the supernatural, returns to unleash a new kind of horror on the innocent and unsuspecting family.

Release Date: March 27th, 2009

Thank you for posting this James. I totally agree and will be there opening night myself. I love a good haunted house flick (J-horror remakes notwithstanding).

Finally got around to watching this last night. Not nearly as good as I had hoped. A few jump scares, but other than that, not much to write home about.

Yeah, I heard some of my friends tell me it sucked, just before I was going to go see it, and it scared me away from seeing it.

I saw the Discovery Channel show this movie is based on a few years ago and I have to admit, it kind of scared the shit out of me.

I turned out to be not nearly as original as I had hoped.  Pretty stock horror movie I thought.

It wasn't bad though.
