Re: GnREvolution Music Madness - Discussion and Results Thread
Where in the fuck are The Beatles and The Doors? Cant believe it took me this long to notice those glaring absences from the tournament. We must have all been passing around the same crack pipe for neither group to get one song into this battle. Its actually kinda shameful. Its not really a true representation of music without those bands. Shit like Paper Planes, Galaxie, and Bat Country make it but not The End, Come Together, or Yesterday?
I realize how nomination processes go when you're just thinking off the top of your head and shit gets missed. We all do it, and I really do it when writing out favorites lists.
If we do this again next year, I think the nomination process should be open a bit longer, which gives people time to edit their original nomination list.

Re: GnREvolution Music Madness - Discussion and Results Thread
I don't like any Beatles or Doors songs. To be honest.
Re: GnREvolution Music Madness - Discussion and Results Thread
I agree and disagree with James. I agree that The Beatles & The Doors should've gotten some representation, when you see other artists like No Doubt, M.I.A., and VR that should've never been let anywhere near it. At least not in the league of songs facing off.
The Beatles could've at least had Come Together, and The Doors have several songs that could've been on there, like Light My Fire, Break On Through..., and i've always been partial to My Eyes Have Seen You.

Re: GnREvolution Music Madness - Discussion and Results Thread
Something tells me Estranged & Jungle will never face off. Because they're two GN'R songs at the same time.
There are better songs on that list than Jungle (not many). But Estranged really stands out.
I'd still take Estranged over Freebird, even like I said earlier Freebird is the definition of a rock song. But if Estranged were to face off in the final round with Bohemian Rhapsody... I might have to actually take serious consideration on that vote. Bohemian Rhapsody is a totally amazing tune also.
And thx for this Neemo. It has created some interesting debate.
