Fergie is talented. Some people will worship her as soon as Richard gets a rhythm guitarist spot at her tour. I remember even Nena became cool on the unofficial official site.
I don't see any problem with Slash doing AI. At least he gets another chance to find a singer for VR 
I had more problems with the Slash - Paula Rubino collaboration. That was god awful.

That's exactly the goal. Unfortunately he feels the need to use American Idol to further his cause. It used to be cool and respectable when guys could just stop by MTV or something to achieve the same goal. Now they have to hang out with Simon and Paula. I wonder if Randy will call him "dawg"?

And like it or not, even if it is subtle, it gets the GN'R name back out into the mainstream. I know they want refer to him as GNR guitarist, but thats what people will think.
No problem with him doing this. I have a reason to watch American Idol now.

American Idol isn't all that bad. I don't watch it but I did see last week's (with Jamie Foxx) and all of them can actually sing which is cool. 3 or 4 stars have come out of that show, including an Oscar winner.
Why be pissed at Slash for being on AI, when he played on Daughtry's record? Daughtry only had a solo record because of AI.
