Re: U2 - Acoustic Achtung Babies
WOOOOOO!!!!!!! I got my tickets!!!! :mosh::mosh:
2 General Admision tickets:
@ Rogers Center in Toronto - September 16th; cost - $142.50
@ Giants Stadium in New York - September 24th; cost - $140.40I'm so pumped up. less than $300 for 4 GA tickets. Anyone who says U2 rips off the fans is on crack! Woooo!!!!
I had to pass on Chicago and Boston. Just wasn't doable right now with the finances. Plus they'll be hitting Vancouver at the end of October which I plan to attend and then they'll be back in NA in 2010 and I plan to go to Ireland next year as well so. I had to tone it down if I plan on seeing them next year as well.
:mosh::mosh::mosh:
They are playing here in Ireland this year, not next year - three shows, two sold out so far another one on sale april fools day i think.
Don't like any of the last three albums but I've always wanted to see them so I'm gonna try get tickets for the third one at least. There is a guy at work as crazy as you - going to all three irish shows travelling around europe and then going all the way to new york/boston. Every penny he spends on U2. I used to think people like Jarmo only existed online.:P
Edit: I mean crazy in a good way, just so you know!:P
Re: U2 - Acoustic Achtung Babies
Did someone say The Claw?
Anyway, I haven't listened to the new album yet but I'm looking forward to it since I loved How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb.
I'm probably going to try and get tickets to their show in Sweden if I have the time since I missed them when they were here in 2005.

I don't have that much money but when the times come every penny gopes towards U2 as well
They have nothing scheduled for Ireland in 2010 yet but the plan is to tour Europe again next summer and I can't imagine them not doing Ireland at all.
Re: U2 - Acoustic Achtung Babies
If anyone can make "Get on Your Boots" listenable, it's Justice.
They've already put Franz Ferdinand, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, and MGMT through their distorto-bounce filters. Now, Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay, a.k.a. Justice, are being called upon by none other than U2, according to a recent newsletter from Justice's label Ed Banger and confirmed by their publicist.
They'll remix "Get on Your Boots", the lead single off U2's recent No Line on the Horizon. While it'll take quite an overhaul to make the schizophrenic track work, we're curious to see what they come up with. That opening riff could become monstrous if compressed the right way. No release info just yet, but stay tuned.
Meanwhile, U2 are heading out on tour; Justice are standing around looking really cool somewhere.

Not sure why they're still trying to push this song. Magnificent should have had a massive push during their initial promo blitz when it was the most downloaded song from their album.

Only other time I have been this happy about getting tickets to a show was GN'R at GM Place Nov 7 2002 my 19th birthday. I hope this one goes better than that one did

:mosh: I'll be there as well. Grabbed two tickets in section 240. Decided to pass on GA tickets for this one. I was also at GM place on November, 7th 2002. I was gutted. I was at gate 3 at the very front. Got splashed with the first beer can to hit the door haha. Stood five feet away as some hoodlums smashed through the doors with a baracade. Good times
