Blog from Slash
Hey, Slash here.
Thanks for adding me on MySpace. It's great having this vehicle to stay in touch and let you all know what's going on with me. I am just about to start recording my solo album and I've been super busy getting all that together. But, it's going smoothly and I've got a great team that I'm working with. The artists are fantastic. Unfortunately, I can't leak any names yet, but I will do what I can to let you know as each collaboration is completed.

I think he said that he was writing and demoing the album, and good to see he's taken his time on this, I hope it's gonna be great!
Re: Slash Begins Recording for his Solo Album
I was thinking it would be cool if he got some classical artists to work with. A piano piece with Slash playing different stringed instruments would be out of this world.
Fred Durst and Fergie dont fill me with great expectations.

What are the odds we get a collaboration like this?

Josh Freese is the drummer for the record! And Chris Chaney (played bass on Janes Addictions' Strays album) on bass! That is one badass rhthym section right there. I think this will be cool

Re: Slash Begins Recording for his Solo Album
Great musicians! Wasn't Matt supposed to be the drummer for the record with a song here and there by Lars and Steven? Anyway, after CD and Libertad, I'm more interested in Slash working with Josh and Chris Chaney than with Matt and Duff. I don't know how long Slash can hide the singers' names, since as far as I know, his album release is planned for late May, early June.
