Prostitute is one of the my favorites on the album, but I doubt it would be a hit. The album is dead as a door nail, and a tour would likely not provide much of a boost to the album.

Bugger Prostitute, they should release TWAT. That's the one with the great big epic solos that prove once and for all that you don't need Slash, it's the one with the amazing Axl voice, it's the one that tops November Rain. I mean, ideally they'd have come straight out of the gate with Better and a video as the first single, then dropped, say, Street of Dreams and followed it up with TWAT. At the moment, though, I think TWAT's their last best hope for a strong video that'll grab peoples' attention.
Better was edited to hell on the radio one week after it was released in the UK and it sounded a mess.

That promo was bad as shit. I bet we were looking at most of the Better video right there, too.
Prostitute could be edited down without losing anything and it could probably be their best single effort. For TWAT to be successful it couldn't be touched. Olorin is right.

I agree that TWAT is their last chance, which is the best song on the album. Although it'd be interesting to read Axl saying "yeah, those two guys, BH and Finck did great solos an the song, so it proves that GN'R can function without Slash"
Interviewer who is not Del James: "Yeah, those two guys... can't wait to see them live"
Axl: "You can wait, but they are out. By their own decisions. But it helps us improving the band even better. Imagine if we replaced Slash so easily in 12 years than how magnificent GN'R will be with the BH and Finck replacements."
I: "can't wait to hear the next album, man"
A: "Alright, later. We are focusing on the Better video right now. I think we can cut 5 minutes of 2006 live footage in...well, if everything is going well, then people will see new video this year"

I quite like the thought of releasing Prostitute, swiftly followed by If The World, then There Was A Time or Catcher. All those songs have a modern, diverse feel, that breaks away from the stereotype GNR and shows Axl has moved on musically. Prostitute and If The World are catchy enough to command some decent airplay, some good exposure like that could give a better opportunity for longer songs to get given a fair chance later.
Mabye its over exposure but CD, The Blues and Better seem a little dull compared those other 3. Its like they chose them because they did kinda have a classic GNR ring to them and people might have taken to it better.
