Here's a thought, how about we pick the top 30 or 40, then each of us gets to nominate 3 or 4, to bring us to 64. Might be easier & give us all a shot to put some songs on it. So there's no "There's no (insert band) on it"... well, if you wanted them on so bad, put them in.
Understand? For instance, if 8 of us are playing, we compile a list of 32 of these better songs, then we each pick 4 songs, giving us the final 32. A little more interactive. If 10 of us play, we compile 44 best ones, and each pick 2. Kinda like automatic bids & vote ins.

We'll have a draft order. That order shall be determined by a secret algorithym to be determined by you. j/k, how about the order in which people posted in this thread (and will continue) ie. you first, Saikin 2nd, James 3rd etc...

Should we really include GnR songs? It just seems that if they are included, they'll almost win by default.
someone else said we should keep it at the hits. WTTJ SCOM PC & NR sounds about right, myb Patience, but yeah, what if 2 or 3 make it to the final 4. We should cap each band at 3 or 4 songs total. Don't want Metallica & GNR filling up most of the final matchups.

Yeah, no GN'R song is needed, I think, since it's a GN'R board. Let's see what other songs we like, or Estranged will win and I'm bored of that. (Not the song.)

This should be an exciting tournament to do. Neemo, if you want I can talk to my friend and see if he will make us a graphic for it with all the branches and everything. He does it for his site once a year, I'm sure he'd be able to help us out.
As for the songs, I'll put some thought into it and post later.
definately sounds good saikin....use the ncaa format 64 teams - 4 brackets of 16 leading to a final 4
if you need our logo and stuff let me know and i'll get it to you
