Love some country, but don't listen to much of the new stuff. My favorites are Alan Jackson, George Strait, Toby Keith, and of course Hank Jr and David Alan Coe!

One of the coolest projects I've ever heard, and I'm sure some of you have it, is Rebel Meets Rebel. Dimebag, Vinnie Paul, and Rex from Pantera with David Alan Coe on vocals. Who else could have wrote "Cowboys Do More Dope"?!

I primarily prefer classic country. Conway Twitty, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash...

The country I can get into is the more old school stuff, like outlaw country and things that probably veer more towards southern rock. I can't do pop country or whatever they're trying to sell these days.

Yeah, I'm an oldschool outlaw guy for the most part.  Any of the Highwaymen (Kristofferson should be talked about like Dylan is when you discuss songwriters).

I really like Pantera and really like DAC, but I didn't care for Rebel Meets Rebel.  I thought they should have met somewhere in the middle rather than just having Coe singing like Coe over Pantera playing like Pantera.
