I don't want Jolie anywhere near Nolan's Batman movies. Hell, I hope he NEVER works with her on any movie. She's such a big star that she's a caricature. When I watch her, I don't see a character. I see Angelina, and of course automatically think "Brangelina."

Crazy thought, but I think Jimmy Fallon could pull off a good Riddler. I'm not a big fan of his, but I think he could pull off a wacky, non-Heath Ledger Joker style performance. Maybe have him play a role close to Brad Pitt in 12 Monkeys. Similar to his jumpy performance in the cowbell skit, and similar to Careys Riddler (I still haven't watched that in soo long Axlin08).

Carrey's Riddler is the wrong kind of Riddler. Ever seen Batman: The Animated Series? That is the kind of Riddler that should have been done in Batman Forever, and if Nolan bothers with the character, B:TAS will hopefully be an influence for him. The character works best as a serious, cerebral, and truly dangerous character.

But the problem will be bordering on Ledger's Joker. Depp would be good, but I think he'd turn it down for being too locked in to being serious & crazy, but not being too much like Joker. It's a very fine line they'll be walking. That's why I feel Fallon would be good. just mho, but if done dark and psychotic, it could be pulled off. And I doubt he'd resemble Ledger much at all.

I'm just sayin'

The problem with your suggestion is that you said he could do a Carrey-esque Riddler. It would not fit in with Nolan's style and I don't think Nolan would want any part of something ultra campy like Carrey's Riddler. I don't know if Fallon has the chops to play a serious character or not, but I do know that I don't want him buffooning around like Carrey did in Batman Forever.

The way you differentiate from the Joker would be giving him a specific goal, namely killing Batman. The Joker didn't want to kill Batman in TDK because he felt they were both part of the "freak" problem in the city and he wanted the problem to continue forever. Another way to differentiate from the Joker would be to make the Riddler less humorous than the Joker. Ledger's Joker was fun to watch and pretty funny, even if it was dark humor. If you portray the Riddler as a serious and intelligent but cocky guy, it could work. And you have to make him even smarter than the Joker. Up the ante and put Batman in serious danger of being killed, which the Riddler is known for doing in the comics and Animated Series.

Angelina Jolie is the only logical choice to play Catwoman imo.

Accomplished actress, has "the look", and they'd want a REALLY big name for that role - she's the most obvious choice imo (kind of like Depp & The Riddler).

Also, like others have stated, The Riddler needs to be turned into more of a 'Zodiac killer' type of villian.

Well that's because you're like Gotham's citizens, a sucker for the media. 16

The whole media overexposing of Pitt & Jolie, is just that. It didn't stop Pitt from getting an Oscar nom, and Jolie from getting a critically raved performance in The Changeling.

How quickly we forget about Christian "Shaft" Bale, Heath "10 Things I Hate About You" Ledger, Aaron "Any Given Sunday" Eckhart, Michael "Jaws IV: The Revenge" Caine, and Gary "Since I Don't Have You Video" Oldman.

I want to personally take a leap, and say I think Jolie would be a fantastic Catwoman. If Bale's as good as an actor as everyone thinks he is, he won't have to worry about being upstaged. 22

Angelina Jolie is a shiteous choice for Catwoman. Jolie and Pitt were courted during awards season because the media are crazy about them and their mere presence at an event will help to elevate its exposure and bring up its ratings. That's a celebrity obsessed society at play, not talent. It's true, Jolie has overacted her way into the hearts of some critics over the years, but her homewrecker-turned-Mother Teresa routine is getting old fast.

My choice for Catwoman? Rosario Dawson. Believe it.

That was very cool. Using the U2 song from Forever was a nice touch.
