This is the project that Ben Shepard and Matt Cameron did after Soundgarden imploded. Its an amazing record. Only way I can really describe it is a lost Beatles album. Shepard has to be the most underrated talent of the past twenty years. Not even kidding. He took Soundgarden in directions they never would have went without him, and shows how brilliant he really is with this record.

Imagining Cornell and Thayil taking a stab at this material gives me chills.

He'd never admit it, but I bet when Cornell heard this record, all sorts of "What if" scenarios popped up in his head.

This album is Ben Shepard, Matt Cameron, and John Paul McBain. Hell, Cameron even does some guitar work and vocals on this album, although majority of vocals are Ben.

I highly recommend this record. Its a fucking crime that the music world ignored this when it was released.

I thought this album was completely out of print, but I just found out its now on Itunes. I'm only gonna leave this link up for a couple days, so grab it while you can.

If you happen to like it, would be cool if you would at least buy a few tracks on Itunes as a show of support to Shepard.

Since we're on the subject of Ben Shepard side projects, here's his first album he did with Hater. I know this is out of print.

Thanks for those, I'd never even heard of Hater. I don't think I'll have time to actually check either one out tonight,I'm looking forward to it.

I actually thought I posted my thoughts on this around a week ago...  I guess not.

I'm very torn on these so far, I really really like some of it, but I think I might need it in small doses, not a full album.

When it starts I'm really into it, but I lose interest after I while, although even then, if I leave it playing something will probably pop up that's interesting.  I have the same problem with pretty much any classic psychedelic band too, so there might just be a little too much of that influence in it for me.

It still might grow on me before, because I really like the parts that I like I really like.  For now though, I may just be stuck on enjoy it when it comes up on random.

Highlights of the album to me are Green Undertow, Space Travel in the Blink of an Eye, Nati Bati Yi, Declaration of Conformity, Trowerchord, and Palomar Observatory. I can see why its not everyones cup of tea though. The album is short and to the point though. Some of the instrumentals could have easily dragged on for six or seven minutes.

Only one person has downloaded Hater? Seriously? That album is out of print. Even if you hate Ben Shepard, you should grab it. Just checked the torrents, and its only on one and it has zero seeds and one leech. In other words, that leecher is wishing he was here. 16

The instrumentals were acually some of my favorite tracks.

That was me, and I actually liked Hater a little better than Wellwater Conspiracy.
