I watched The Life of Bret Michaels or whatever they call it on Biography this weekend. It was pretty good. Bret was in favor of hiring Slash as lead guitarist but he was outvoted by Rikki and Bobby. Didn't Slash say he declined from consideration? I forget.

I think the world is really warming up to Poison, it's twenty years after the fact, so no one is really worrying about Poison not being gritty, especially with the 80s revival.
I will buy it. Always need something to read at work.

For what it's worth Bret did say this would be the last season of Rock of Love. I watch it too, but agree it's not as good as the first two. Ashley needs to get the boot. She annoys me. Brittania is hot but she's got some temper for such a quiet girl. Looks like she goes off in this upcoming episode. She is hot though, I can't deny that.

I'm of the same opinion on this book. Then again, I think a lot of autobiographies are useless. Did you hear Miley Cyrus is writing one?

Sort of. I believe Slash auditioned for Poison, and CC came after Slash, and they liked him, except for Bret.
Bret liked Slash and wanted him, but Rikki & Bobby were more obsessed with "looks" and CC looked the part all glamed up, and they outvoted Bret.
Slash also said he didn't fit in with the whole glam scene, looking like a gutter rat, all old school rock n' roll with his hair over his face, cig, black leather, and cowboy boots. If they had asked, Slash had planned to turn it down anyways. It wasn't his scene.
I don't think the record company would've let it happen, even if Poison wanted it, and if they did, he would've been forced out like Todd Crew in Jetboy, for virtually the same reason. He wasn't glam enough for what they were trying to market.

That's rich. Who and what premise is this site based upon? At least Bret comes off as a decent guy. I read too often people bitch about people ragging on Axl cause we don't know him so we have no right yet there are obvious reasons why Axl is labeled a douch by many, most of whic have nothing to do wth persnal music tastes. Though because people don't like Posion Bret Michael's is a washed up douchebag? Hahaha Like I said, Rich. Yup Bret's a loser cause he's living life and obviously has millions of fans. Fuck him.
