Re: Has Obama Buried Reagan?
Oh fuck yeah. I'm not the biggest Paul fan, but if someone were to roll along as a massive 'face' and with Paul's idealism, the guy might just create a viable third-party, and shift power throughout the government.
Alot of people refer to Paul's ideas as 'isolationism', and at this point, I really don't give a fuck. I'm all for the U.S. just being the U.S., protecting the borders, protecting homeland defenses, cutting off immigration (yep, you heard right, we've got enough citizens), and just doing our own thing.
In a weird way, Paul is a throwback. He really in a weird way is a Jeffersonian Republican, going back to the early 1800's.

He's actually more conservative than the posers running the Republican Party right now. They're a bunch of fucking hypocrites. They don't mind the government spying on us or interfering in the lives of gays, but they sure will bitch about the government interfering in the economy. Hey, why not have a consistent position on that and simply be against big government altogether? Ron Paul is against big government and pro-civil liberties. It's a shame that he's been marginalized.
Re: Has Obama Buried Reagan?
Neocons are in Washington. Ron Paul is just about the last true Republican left. His voting record is perfect. His ideas would have saved the country but put too many high ups out of work. Being blackballed by the media didn't help either.
All this is only the tip of the ice burg. We haven't seen the worst yet. The market will drop again after a short rise only that time it will be even worse. Obama is doing nothing to help the country. I still can't believe we gave the a guy with 2 years in the Senate the keys to the country. While Americans are suffering he is have Salsa Dance Weds. Nights. We're in for a big change that a lot of people aren't going to like and it will against what this country is all about.
Re: Has Obama Buried Reagan?
Depends on the Republican running against him. Look at the 1996 election. Clinton could've been tossed then, but he was a great public speaker, and Dole was a poor candidate.
Exactly. It's a combination of how he does & who's against him. Same with all Presidents really. Look at Clinton & FDR. On the other hand, look at Carter. Nothings guaranteed, that's for sure. On the other hand, look at Reagan & W. Reagan swept thru 84 cleanly, while W had trouble against Kerry, but then again Kerry wasn't the most formidable candidate either. Then look at George H, things weren't exactly going his way come election time (reseccion), also I think people tired after 12 straight years of Republican & Reaganomics. Obama certainly has that in his favor, some people may not want to go back to GOP reign right away, so he might get the benefit of the doubt. Then again, Carter didn't.

Wow, yeah that was a pretty bad hack job. I'm usually pretty anal about spelling too. Just habit.
Looks like a case of random dyslexia. Don't worry, it happens to all of us at some point.
