Re: Guitar Hero: Van Halen-Official
Gary Cherone... people need to just let that whole fuckin' thing GO. He did one FLOP album, and no touring. He doesn't even count.
The bottom line comes down to Roth & Hagar
Michael Anthony will be ignored imo, simply because he's not as memorable as the frontmen, and no one will really even pay all that mind to see Wolfie playing Michael's stuff, considering he already does that live currently.
GH:VH would not be complete without including several tracks, if not 1/3 or more of the Hagar catalog.
The difficult part is, I would want those songs there with Roth's, but at the same time Hagar is a superior vocalist, and I wouldn't want to see Roth trying to do Hagar songs. But then you have the catch-22 of VH not wanting to actively allow a former vocalist be involved in a game, overshadowing the returning original.
I'm guessing the way around it is including the original masters, and on Roth songs you get the actual VH band on-screen, and on Hagar songs you get a generated band on-screen, like GH:WT or previous GH installments.
Re: Guitar Hero: Van Halen-Official
I like others after Hagar left said basically "Roth or nothing". I had no interest in a 3rd lead singer. It just smacked of the continued egotism of Eddie, and VH was becoming boring anyway.
When Cherone joined (I was never an Extreme) fan, I didn't even bother, and really extinguished them from my mind. I was jolted back to VH's existance, when they brought Hagar back in the early 2000's.
