And finally, I won't argue with you on the Christian way have a stranglehold on the "homosexuality is an abomination/immorality" argument. Christianity has obviously grown to being the #1 religion of the world in the past 2000 years. But there are other religions that frown on homosexuality, such as Islam, also.
Hold on one damn minute. Do NOT accuse me of blaming it on Christianity. Please point to where in my post I did that. I simply used that as a time line. It was circa that Christian era that we see everyone adopting this.
Society views two women as hot, imo, because women are a much more sensual, soft, and erotic creature than men. Nobody looks at two bull dikes, with mullets and trucker caps making out as hot, and the reality is - they are the real lesbians of the world. The two hot porno lesbians are really a fabrication of the media and entertainment world. It's a fantasy, but not a reality. If they were to market that two 'pretty boy' and 'built' men making out and doing each other was very hot and freeing... it'd catch on eventually. Societies can be sculpted for anything.
