Hey, I saw it in Indy (Indianapolis, right?) too. Small world.

Yep, and having seen that show at 15 has ruined me from ever being overly impressed with a concert lineup for the rest of my life.  $35 for lower bowl too.  Damn I miss the 90's sometimes.

I was 19. Metallica was un-freaking-believable that night. Blew GNR away, in my eyes. Lots of people left after Metallica. I remember that. My buddy who I went with fell asleep toward the end of GNR.

I hate to turn a thread into just a conversation between us but

That show turned me into a Metallica fan, I went to see FNM and GNR, but left wanting to learn more about Metallica.

I remember the people leaving during GNR, and at the time thinking it was dumb, but now as an adult I would be pissed if a show didn't end until after 2AM and I have to get up for work.  Going back to the hotel as a kid it was awesome.

More on topic, I'm curious what FNM's stage show will be like at this point in thier old age.  Patton was climbing the stage and pulling chairs out of the audience then.  Any live performances I saw of Peeping Tom, he was basically standing there singing with a hair net on.

To any first time listener I will warn you that Angel Dust takes a bit of time, you can't hear it 3 times and understand it. I had listened to it about 10 times before I could sing any melodies or go through song structures in my head, let alone any lyrics.

Re: Faith No More Reunion CONFIRMED

So I'm bored and decided to rank my favorite songs from each Patton-era FNM album.

The Real Thing:
1.) Zombie Eaters
2.) Edge of the World
3.) The Real Thing
4.) From Out of Nowhere
5.) Epic
6.) Woodpecker From Mars
7.) Underwater Love
8.) Falling to Pieces
9.) The Morning After
10.) Surprise! You're Dead!

Cover of 'War Pigs' is excluded from ranking, although it's a very good cover.

Angel Dust:
1.) Everything's Ruined
2.) Be Aggressive
3.) Kindergarten
4.) Midlife Crisis
5.) Land of Sunshine
6.) Caffeine
7.) Malpractice
8.) RV
9.) A Small Victory
10.) Jizzlobber - Midnight Cowboy (I consider them one song)
11.) Crack Hitler
12.) Smaller and Smaller

King for a Day, Fool For a Lifetime:
1.) Evidence
2.) Just a Man
3.) Star AD
4.) Caralho Voador
5.) The Last to Know
6.) The Gentle Art of Making Enemies
7.) Digging the Grave
8.) Take This Bottle
9.) Get Out
10.) Ricochet
11.) King for a Day
12.) Ugly in the Morning
13.) Cuckoo for Caca
14.) What a Day

Album of the Year:
1.) Stripsearch
2.) Helpless
3.) Collision
4.) She Loves Me Not
5.) Last Cup of Sorrow
6.) Mouth to Mouth
7.) Got That Feeling
8.) Ashes to Ashes
9.) Paths of Glory
10.) Pristina
11.) Naked in Front of the Computer
12.) Home Sick Home

After ranking, Angel Dust is a clear favorite, then 2nd favorite is a toss up. I love the top 2-3 songs off King for a Day more than anything from Real Thing or Album of the Year, but KFAD has so many misses. AOTY is playable all the way through but rarely shines, and Real Thing is dated and lacks variety that is on later FNM. But they're all good.

Of the rare FNM, I'd rank
1.) I Won't Forget You
2.) The World is Yours
3.) The Cowboy Song
4.) Absolute Zero
5.) Das Schutzenfest
6.) The Perfect Crime

And their cover of 'I Started a Joke' is great. Amazing live too.

Easiest tracks to get into on Angelu Dust are definetly Be Aggressive and Midlife Crisis, but I agree first few times I listened to that record I was not getting it at all. It's a grower but it's a damn good one.

Faith No More is one of those bands, that a collective whole is the really remarkable part of them.

I don't think they ever had a good album. They had alot of great songs tho.
