I believe Jason Takes Manhattan had a lot of potential at the time if only they actually did what they advertised it to be which was Jason in the city for the whole movie instead of just the end, it would've fucking rocked. Always loved the opening credits in New York with that song "Darkest side of the night" playing.
One thing I never understood, how did Jason in the boat get from the lake onto the ocean?

Darkest Side of the Night... one of the great 80's horror music.
I got Metropolis album, Power of the Night, which Darkest appeared on, and it's really the darkest music on the album. The rest of the music is really poppy, but if you're into Van Hagar or Bon Jovi... it's actually good music.

Hooper's sequel is vastly underrated because it's so different in tone from the original. It's got this grand guignol, almost operatic quality. I always thought the black comedy really suited Leatherface and the Sawyer gang well. Glad to see there are other fans.

TV series fans tried but couldn't save Rob Hedden's Jason Takes Manhattan, which made it to the third round. It was the first of the original franchise to get the boot. The number of Kane Hodder entries now making the list has been cut in half. How much longer can the fan favorite Jason hang in there?
