So apparently this movie dropped nearly 81% this weekend. That is the 6th worst second weekend drop in box office history. And it might end up even worse than that. This is just an estimate. On Monday they will get the actual numbers in.

While it's a pretty steep drop, keep in mind that this movie had an already inflated opening weekened by coming out on Friday the 13th and cross marketing itself as the perfect date movie for Valentine's Day on Saturday. It kept its legs because on top of all that it was also the long President's Day weekend and the box office in general was unusually busy. I'm not Jarmo-cizing things, it's an admittedly less than stellar second weekend, but keep in mind that it had an opening to drop from that was far and away from the expectations of either the franchise or the genre.

Word got around about it's mediocrity.
I think another thing you have to keep in mind Von - horror film. Slasher film. Those films always hit like bottle rockets, pop, then plummet to the ground. They all fall off the radar quickly. It's actually the nature of that genre at the B.O.
