It just really comes across like a clusterfuck in places like that, for the same reason Halloween 2007 did. It seems like someone fitting too many ideas into the film to give it any cohesiveness. As soon as they touch on something intriguing, they're off to something else., and expect you to keep up.

Yet at the same time, it's not a fast-paced move, which makes it even weirder.

Finally went and saw it tonight and I got a similar impression.

The kidnapping thing was really weird.  I wish they would have had more screen time for that.  That just really surprised me to see that Jason kept a girl and chained her up.

The whole disappearing relationship thing was so odd as well.  Maybe if you're getting killed though, you wouldn't necessarily care that your ass of a boyfriend is fucking some chick.

It's apparent the relationship was still there a couple minutes after when he starts yelling at her for fucking that guy all over the woods.  Very poor editing.  I hope that wasn't a script issue... 16

Capt. Fuller from 21 Jump Street, or Creighton Duke (Steven Williams), his name in the film never ate Jason's heart. He was Jason's nemesis in the film. The only interaction he ever had with Jason himself, was when Jason was reborn in the Voorhees' house, and Jason picked him up, he looked Jason square in the eye and said "tonight... you... DIE!", and Jason broke his back, and dropped him.

I think you're confusing Steven Williams, with the black coroner from the opening of the film. That's a heavier set actor, I believe his name is Richard Gant. He was the one who ate the heart, and set forth the body hopping.

Yeah, I am mistaking, but still, the whole body swapping thing? WTF?

that has got to go next.

Jason Vs Freddy was actually pretty damn entertaining.

I thought most of the kills were pretty standard, but there was some creative ones.

Like where Jason tied up that girl naked in a sleeping bag and hung her from the tree over the fire.  I also liked the one where he shoved the machete into the girls head under the dock... but that was mostly just because we got to see her boobs again.  They were some nice boobs.  9

And the New Line incarnation of the franchise continues its losing streak. This time, the hotly debated, Kane Hodder-less Freddy vs. Jason sees itself to the door. What will be the next to go? Will a minority of (vocal) fans be enough to save Jason Goes to Hell for another round? Things are getting good as we get down to the "real" franchise.

Eliminated:
Round I - Jason X (7/12 votes)
Round II - Freddy vs. Jason (5/11 votes)
