No, but I don't think a plane crash correlates to the comedy in a chimp going bananas.
There's no schtick to be found in a plane crash... well unless it's Randy Rhodes.

What about a cartoon where Obama is depicted as a basketball player dropping the ball, and the ball says "stimulus" on it?
That's not my own idea, that was in my local paper. I had a guy I work with come up to me and said, "I findnd it kinda racist to depict Obama as a basketball player."

That's a little grayer. Obama did just put in a basketball court in the White House, or it was still a 'work in progress', and I think did interviews in the court with the ball in his hands.
So that's probably more what that was referencing.

He friggin campaigned at basketball courts! He practiced on camera with North Carolina, he was going to do the same with my beloved Kentucky Wildcats, his brother in law is a coach. There is NOTHING racist about that.

Guess I should have clarified my original post. I was pretty much asleep when I posted that. That's what someone came up to me and said at work when I saw the cartoon. They acted like they made Obama a basketball player just because he's black and are assuming that all black people like basketball.
I was like, "Yeah, Obama likes basketball. There's pictures of him playing basketball."
Wow... my post really wasn't clear at all. Sorry about that guys!
