I find it hard not to see this as in poor taste. First off, it's not even funny. Secondly, it's hard to think it isn't racist. That's just me though. Still, I'm surprised it made it past the editors or whoever proofreads the stuff.

Yes it is. I realize they want to poke fun at that latest attack of the killer chimp story, but that isn't an appropriate way to do it.
They gotta get their digs in now though. We're basically in runaway socialism mode, and by the time he runs for reelection, he'll own this newspaper and they'll illustrate things to fit his agenda.

No, it relates to the chimpanzee that got loose in the area there and attacked someone I believe. I'm not totally sure how the story goes.

Hopefully people wake the fuck up by then and start researching all the people running for President and not just the morons the press push above everyone else. This two party system is so much bullshit. You pick a President out of the two that they want you to pick from. Not so much a democracy when you start looking how some people are blackballed by the media because they don't fit the profile.
And I don't care about the cartoon. They hung Bush out so many times in the press and papers. It's freedom of speech.

Ya know, after looking at the cartoon a little more, I can see your point. Especially in this politically correct world, they would have to know that you can't have a picture of an ape and have some bleeding-heart tell you that you're racist.

Yeah, to me, it just doesn't make any sense if you "don't" factor race into it. I suppose they could be saying Congress as a whole is full of mokeys or nitwits, but that doesn't make much sense to me.
I'm not super offended by it, but I don't get it either. So I find it a bit racist, unless someone can logically explain it otherwise. Not a huge deal though, it's only a cartoon.
