Unless I did the math wrong then i'm only $33 in debt
Try $33,000
U.S. NATIONAL DEBT CLOCK
The Outstanding Public Debt as of 18 Feb 2009 at 03:50:25 AM GMT is:
$ 1 0 , 7 7 3 , 7 6 1 , 3 9 1 , 2 4 4 . 0 9
The estimated population of the United States is 305,666,825
so each citizen's share of this debt is $35,246.75.
The National Debt has continued to increase an average of
$3.48 billion per day since September 28, 2007!

We're actually almost at $11 trillion in debt.
And with that $35,246.75 figure, that would mean every legal citizen in this country, regardless of age. It's estimated that there are 180 million taxpayers, so the amount that each working citizen would have to pay would be over $60,000 to clear the debt.
I'm just wondering if that figure is actually accurate. It seems like our debt could pretty soon become unliquidated debt and then very quickly become toxic.
Why is Reagan the reason you cant go to school? Until this collapse, anything with a pulse could get a blank check for a school grant.
That's not entirely true. Not many people could get their schooling payed for with grants, but anyone could get a blank check in the form of a loan.
Now, students loans are a lot harder to come by and it turns out a lot of them are turning bad really quick. I feel sorry for anyone who has student loans. Deferred student loans are about the only 'safe' ones for right now.
