This is a bad idea. There really isn't any demand for this, and to make matters worse, the world economy is in the toilet. The only way they will have any success with this is if they stick to festivals, or are an opening act or hit the clubs.

An arena Limp Bizkit tour in the US will be D.O.A.

2009 is gonna be a rough year touring wise. Even U2 is taking a huge risk with a stadium tour here.

I'll take that bet. I'll bet the economy has little to no impact on  U2's tour as far as ticket sales go.

I agree it's pointless for Limp Bizkit to reunite though.

Actually I think alot of their music is pretty cool. Fred Durst is definately a weak link for the band. Lame lyrics and totally highschool delivery. Fuck this fuck you blah blah. We're Limp Bizkit yada yada suck my dick. Lame.

like bono says, i think most people have a problem with fred durst and not necessarily with LB. i think they have great instrumentals but when it comes to lyrics they fail miserably.

i think it'll all depend on what kinda music they make....if they are gonna just do the same old hat and dance then forget it....if they can pull somehting relevant out of their asses then they may do alright

borland and durst hate each other though so i dunno how long it'll even last

According to Fred Durst; their returning because of the poor current state of the music biz...

They're gonna bring back "Rock N' Roll"

WES BORLAND On New LIMP BIZKIT Album: 'Don't Believe It Until You See It' - Feb. 13, 2009
Guitarist Wes Borland has a message for LIMP BIZKIT fans who are hoping to see a new studio album from the band's original lineup: don't hold your breath.

Fred Durst, Wes Borland, Sam Rivers, John Otto and DJ Lethal announced yesterday (Thursday, February 12) via a press release that they were reuniting for a tour and new CD. But according to Borland — who is currently on the road with his new band, BLACK LIGHT BURNS — things are far from set in stone at this point.

Speaking to Bob Suehs of Rock N Roll Experience following BLACK LIGHT BURNS' February 12 performance in Towson, Maryland, Wes said about his involvement with the reunited LIMP BIZKIT, "I'm only doing the overseas shows with them as of right now, and as far as the new record, with those guys, don't believe it until you see it. As of right now, there's nothing happening; I'm only doing the shows overseas with them and we'll see what happens." Borland also confirmed that he is no longer a member of MARILYN MANSON's touring band after hooking up with the shock rocker for a couple of shows late last year. "[Wes] said that he was in the studio and did three or four songs with Marilyn Manson and Twiggy [Ramirez, bass], that it's some of the best music that he's ever heard in his entire life and that the new Marilyn Manson material is way better than the last record ('Eat Me, Drink Me')," Suehs writes on his web site. "When I asked him for an explanation as to what happened, he simply said that story was too long to get into right now."

Oh and Axlin Fred didn't kill rock n roll. The spirit of rock was killed by Cobain.

Manson's new shit really that good? Wes doesn't seem too behind the return of the Bizkit.

Good to hear that from Wes. As I said, Black Lights is better than Bizkit (maybe not live because its Wes and a bunch of rookies, and Wes' voice isnt good enough to do a whole show alone, but certainly in studio).

Bono, have you herd Black Light Burns? Cruel Melody is a great record, it's obviously got a little LimpBizkit in it, a lot of NIN influence (Animal sounds like Pretty HAte MAchine with Wes singing), and some QOTSA influence (Mesopotamia).

I'd advise you to at least preview the tracks on iTunes or something if you haven't.
