Whatever scene they were trying to shoot, GOD I want to see.

Bale must've been fucking Oscar-worthy after getting that fired up.

As for the blow up itself, you probably have to be there, and understand all the backstory. I can't believe the guy started mouthing back at Bale about "this is what it's like to work with actors". What an unprofessional. He does realize Bale can have him fired in 6 seconds flat, right?

Bale is the ONLY aspect of this movie that has any credibility whatsoever. For instance, Bale wouldn't behave that way around Chris Nolan and Wally Pfister (Director of Photography for Bale and Nolan's work in Batman Begins, The Prestige, and The Dark Knight). Fact of the matter is that McG and his entire team (including his Director of Photography) are craptastic. WB is hoping to lure in all the Batman and Bale fans strictly on those two brands. Lord knows they wouldn't have been able to sell it if they had an actor with no street cred for their intended audience (male action movie fans). For fuck's sake, McG directed the damn Charlie's Angels movies! 16

As a Terminator fan, some of my fears for this latest installment are laid to rest because the simple casting of Christian Bale leads me to believe there's SOMETHING redeeming about this project. I've been a fan since Velvet Goldmine, and Bale's not one to go for crap. An actor of his caliber signing onto a McG flick...the script must be damn near impeccable. All that said, the media's had it wrong with this guy from the get go. He's not media friendly, that much has always been clear. They drove him away as a child after Empire of the Sun, and after achieving cult icon status he went "mainstream" with the Bat flicks and the mainstream press is right there to pretend they've been along for the ride the whole time. First it was the shit about his mother that was blown way out of proportion last summer. Now this. Let the man be.

McG is a fuckin' joke. I couldn't believe that Bale even signed on to T4 to begin with.

McG seemed to be calming him down, so apparently it's an issue that solely lies with Bale & the DP. I also noticed Bale mention 'Bryce'. Maybe he was actually sticking up for Bryce Dallas Howard, who was being thrown off by what the DP was doing.
