The commercials were weak, like the last several years. The only one that sticks out in my head was the goofy "MacGruber" parody on "MacGyver", which seemed out of place. It was like an SNL skit, and only at the very end did you even know it was Pepsi commerical.

That kind of stuff right there puts it in a nutshell. Most of the commercials, you didn't even know what the fuck they were for.

Half-time show - E Street fuckin' rocked. VERY energetic performance.

Pretty good game I think. Sucks though cause as soon as Warner threw that pick 6 at the end of the 1st half I knew that'd be the difference and it was. Shitty.

I thought the E Street Band started real string but I got bored of it half way threw.

the commercials sucked but Danica Patrick looked hot in the shower. I kinda liked the Coke Zero one with Polamalu .

I hate the Steelers having more Super Bowls than the Cowboys. *sigh*

That pick six at the end of the 1st half was HUGE. I was rooting for the Cards so I was pretty pissed. I can't imagine if I was a Cards fan how I would have felt.

The Cards defense laid down like dogs at the end. It was pathetic. Your offense just gave you the lead, and then you play like that. Certainly not championship caliber.

It was a pretty good Super Bowl, but like others said, too many penalties to be considered great. The officiating wasn't too good either, but I guess I come to expect that with the NFL these days.

It certainly wasnt as good as last years!

Oh, and I wish people would not just focus on Super Bowls, but total championships. Its the Packers, then the Bears, then the Giants, then the Steelers (I believe).

What do you mean by total champinships? Titles before the Super Bowl was invented or NFC and AFC titles and divison titles? If youre' talking conference titles that stuff is crap. I've always liked how the Montreal Canadiens don't bother hanging division or conference banners. Nobody plays to win a divisoin or a conference. You play to win the League title. That's all that matters.

One thing I've never understood about some NFL fans is how  jacked up they get over a division title. It drives me fucking nuts when I hear Cowboys fans chirping about how they were division champs last season. Ummm... The Giants punked our ass last year in the playoffs so divison champs means shit. Divsion and conference titels mean absolutely nothing to me unless they come with a  Super Bowl. It's all about the Super Bowl. Unless of course  you're talking championships before the Super Bowl era.

Yeah man, I mean titles before the first Super Bowl, not conference or division championships. I think the Packers have like 11 championships, or something like that. That's something I was thinking about yesterday. But you have ESPN pandering to fucking teenagers. But thats another rant for another day!

I'm sure not going to get a 2008 NFC East Champions shirt!

Exactly! NEVER in my fucking life would  I want an  NFC East championship shirt or even and NFC champions shirt unless it came with a  Super Bowl. Even still who cares about your divsion or conference? If the Cowboys win the Super Bowl I'm not wearing a divison shirt, I'll be wearing the Super Bowl shirt 16  I laugh at people around here who wear their Calgary Flames 2004 or Edmonton Oilers 2006 Western Conference Champions t-shirts or hats. Those suck. Just a  daily reminder that you never won the Stanley Cup so you settle for a conference champ t-shirt. CRAP. I mena noboyd doesn't wanna win their division but it's not something to break champiagne over

Re: 2008 NFL season

It was a very entertaining game, these past 5 years or so are enough to make you wonder if it's scripted. I have to say though, too many penalties, and weak calls. Every Pittsburgh playoff game has had questionable reffing (for and against them). Anyone who watched football all season could tell you that holding calls are getting kind of rare these days, and yet there were 5 or 6 in the Super Bowl?

The Pittsburgh drive in the 3rd quarter that ate up so much clock featured the refs handing them 30 yards and then giving them 4 more free plays at the goal line. None of the calls were that flagrant either, especially that roughing the passer.

If I was running the Cardinals I'd have Larry Fitzgerald on defense for the last 3-4 plays on Holmes. Holmes was ripping up that secondary and everyone knew the play would be a jump-ball in the corner of the endzone (twice).

Good season.

Bono, I agree in part but if you never win anything you still need clothes.

That damn call on Adrian Wilson for "roughing the place holder" was beyond fucking ridiculous. He barely touched him as he was stumbling and purposely grabbed him so that he wouldnt knock him over.

I guess but don't  the 4 consecutive AFC title banners the Bills have only serve as a constant reminder they have no Super Bowl titles?  I liek clothes but no second rate stuff 16
