Re: Even porn industry hit by slumping economy
I agree James. My problem with porn is the kind of sex they have in those videos is just so mechanical. I hate to sound like a girl...but some romance is nice..lol...the other thing is porn is full of implants and fake looking girls...where it just gets so divorsed from real life for me....
Re: Even porn industry hit by slumping economy
Like others mentioned, I never understood how this industry survived after the internet era arrived. To use the example of the model above, none of the pics I have came from her official site(which requires a paid membership). While I don't have any of her videos, they are a mouse click away for free. She must have a hardcore fanbase because she couldn't possibly make any money otherwise.
They not only survived, their profits multiplied.
It's easy, you can get porn for free, but you can only get good porn by paying or applying a lot of effort. On top of that the internet is so easy. You could be in the middle of a wank when suddenly you're offered something irresistible, 19 digits way.

Re: Even porn industry hit by slumping economy
I don't think the casual porn viewer watches porn for 'romance'.If I want romance, i'll take my best girl out on the town.
LOL...yeah I guess I didn't mean romance in that sence. I guess it just comes down to prefrences and tastes. Like, speaking only for myself, if i'm going to watch porn i want to be able to fantasise that it's me and a partner doing those things. Yet often, from what i've seen anyway, the people in the videos display attitudes that are far removed from my own attitudes, and for me that makes it kind of a turn off. But the very things that make me turn off no doubt cause hundreds of others to subscribe.
The strange bit is i'm not prudish, I love women, I love nudity and I love having sex. But i've just found something about the way it all happens in porn makes me kinda sad.
Re: Even porn industry hit by slumping economy
If you're truely in love with the female form, and the female experience, than porn is the wrong thing to be watching.
Porn is typically, very misogynistic. The girls are tragic figures almost always, because they're prositutes. No matter how much they call themselves 'actors' or 'stars', they're prositutes, men too. There's a deadness in their emotion.
Anytime you watch a porn, and the girl has a 'whoregasm' during the take... I have to turn it off. It's not a turn on... it's really REALLY sad.
