Re: 2008 NFL season
its gonna be an interesting game....if arizona can work both running and passing into the game then they may be able to put up some points on pittsburgh...but on the other hand pittsburgh's D is friggin amazing so maybe they will shut em down...warnre is gonna have to be perfect though....no turnovers (ok maybe one max but no pomalau returning an INT for a TD)
still I think pittsburgh is gonna take it, but it'd be nice to see Arizona be the cinderella
Re: 2008 NFL season
I don't want Phoenix to be anywhere near that title. I'm rooting for Pittsburgh.
I think you're right, it'll be a tough game. Arz offense vs. Pitt defense. Neither should be underrated & it could be Arz def & Pitt Offense which ends up deciding the game. Whichever of those plays better. Hope it's a good one. & by "good" I mean Pittsburgh destroys them
I got the Cardinals winning 25-18 on Sunday.
Bizarre score..?!
I'll say Pitt 27 AZ 20

Re: 2008 NFL season
I hope Arizona wins. I hope they do pretty badly, in fact. But my head tells me that Pitt's D is going to eat the Cardinals alive. I think it'll be a defensive battle overall, but the Steelers' D will eat the Cards alive.
Damn shame, Giants beat both of these teams on the road this year. ERRR!!!:flame:

That's fucked cause I was just coming in here to post my prediction and I'm picking Arizona 24-17.
Cardinals - 24
Steelers - 17
That Michael Irvin show isn't all that bad of an idea Neemo. They did that with hockey here in Canada. and it was actually pretty entertaining. There are alot of talented guys out there who for whatever reason just got overlooked, had to quit or whatever. Ya never know where you'll find a diamond in the rough. BUT having said that do the Cowboys really need anymore fucking Hollywood vibes going. For fuck sakes be a football team and ditch the fucking hollywood persona. I'm split on it. I like the concept just not sure its good for the Cowboys right now. Let Detroit do it. They need all the help they can get

Re: 2008 NFL season
Since there's been so many weird scores this season I picked an odd one to go with that. We've had games with teams scoring 11 or 18 way more than usual this year.
Re: 2008 NFL season
Wasn't a bad game. In the 4th quarter it just went back and forth. Game could have went on all night and they would have just kept scoring. AZ defense made crucial mistakes on that final Pit drive, which is unfortunate since momentum had shifted to AZ in those last couple minutes. That safety was huge, and the TD afterwards should have been the nail in the coffin. They left too much time on the clock.
Commercials were horrific. Nothing memorable.

Had a discussion at work about the possibility of that a few days ago.
We were wondering with the economy/bailouts etc. if having the big expensive memorable commercial could come back and bite you in the ass at the moment. I could understand big companies being scared to pull a trigger like that for the same reasons a lot of the big lavish parties were cancelled.

That Doritos one in the first half was especially bad.

Yep. One of the key plays was PIT converting a 3rd and 10 from inside their 20yd line and the obvious play with Francisco falling down and allowing Holmes to gain a bunch of RAC yards down to the five yard line.
I think there were a bit too many penalties for this be known as a classic though. The most comparable game to this one would be the Pats-Panthers super bowl from about five years ago. This game has nothing on SB 25 (sorry James!) or the Packers-Broncos super bowl from 11 yrs ago. I don't know whether or not this was better than last year's though. The defense played last year was far better/
