Re: Plan comes together for 'A-Team'
when i first heard about this xx years ago it was mentioned, George Hannibal Clooney and Brad Face Pitt.
course, that was when they were younger and might have suited the part a little more than they do(dont) now
Haha, dude, I don't know how old you are but man, it's sad to hear people call Brad Pitt "old"..
I know what you mean, plus after those two being in the Oceans series, them combined in The A-Team wouldn't work. You are right though, they are too old, maybe not for Hannibal but for Face, I'd think so. It'd be forcing it. Better off with someone else imho.
Re: Plan comes together for 'A-Team'
Pitt might could work for Face, but Clooney would be all wrong for anything in the film.
Clooney is really a remarkably OVERrated actor. He plays virtually the same exact character in everything he's ever been in. From The Facts of Life to ER to Batman & Robin to Ocean's.
The problem with employing Pitt as Faceman is you'd have to get even a bigger star actor for Hannibal, which would be difficult with an A-list'er like Pitt on board.
Re: Plan comes together for 'A-Team'
I hate when they make old tv shows into movies, the movies are never as good as the shows were,wI used to watch the A-Team as a kid and if the movies ever comes out ofcourse I will watch it,but normally I just never like movies that are made from old ideas.
Re: Plan comes together for 'A-Team'
Well they could do like the original series, cast a well known as Hannibal, then go with unknowns for the rest. Although Mr. T did Rocky III, at the time the original series premiered, the only real established actor was George Peppard, who was on the backside of his career at that point.
But I doubt they'll go that route. I'm guessing they are going to go all-star ensemble from top-to-bottom with this, and if they add the 'Amy' character, the chick reporter from the beginning of the show, i'm sure they're gonna get a flavor of the month actress for that.
IF this ever gets off the ground, it'll be a big release imo, good or bad.
