well i clicked on the thread cause i was pretty sure it was about this, just was curious to see what was being thrown around. i can understand where you guys are coming from but i personally am not there.
one thing i took a lil' issue with - if you like a band, who the hell cares if it is *cool* or not to wear their merch? lol... i still wear a julian lennon t-shirt once in awhile. and first liked him as a grade schooler. whoever -whatever - bands i like, i am unashamed to sport the stuff.
if someone is gonna make a (real) judgment call based on your fan status, that person is pretty damn shallow.
anyways. offa my soapbox fer now!

It's not really about the cool or uncool status of a band. I simply will not ever wear a band's T-shirt, that I feel shits on its own fans.

i'm one of the shallow ones i guess. 
i'll judge someone if they're wearing a jonas brothers t-shirt or a carrie underwood fan club t-shirt to a new year's eve party!!!

My interest has fallen waay down. I've been here before and completely stopped posting but when Axl resurfaced I came back with a vengeance again. I've definitely laid low on the forums but I still check them mostly everyday but I don't post hardly as much. My interest in the band hasn't changed but the forum interest has..............for now.

Totally get what your saying. That's exactly how I felt come 2005, when it was REALLY dead in the GN'R world. I felt kind of like "when GN'R gets ready, i'll be ready, but until then, i'm moving on..."
CD getting released finally, was such an anti-climax, like a bottle rocket. It shot your hopes up really quick, then this anti-climatic pop, then it tumbled towards the ground at lightning speed.
My interest is down, and it probably won't take much longer for it to totally be gone - again.
