Re: 2008 NFL season
Name 5 QB's better than him that are currently playing?
Brady
Manning
Warner
Roethlisberger
Favre
Hell, I'd throw Eli on that list as well, and there are other QBs I would prefer over McNabb. Doesn't really have anything to do with who I think is better or worse, I just cant stand the guy. Never liked him, never will. Felt like that towards Marino as well.
Re: 2008 NFL season
INDIANAPOLIS (TICKER) —Indianapolis Colts head coach Tony Dungy is expected to step down on Monday, according to a published report.
FOX Sports, citing team sources, reported that Dungy has made the decision to retire after seven seasons with Indianapolis.
The Colts have scheduled a news conference for 5 p.m., presumably to announce Dungy’s decision.
Dungy, 53, was expected to meet with Colts owner Jim Irsay on Monday to inform him of his decision. FOX reported that Dungy was spending Monday morning saying good-bye to his players and team employees.
Making decisions regarding his future has become an annual rite of winter for Dungy, who has has mulled retirement for the past few seasons - most notably after Indianapolis won the Super Bowl following the 2006 season.
Dungy became the first black coach to win a Super Bowl.
The Colts are 92-33 and have made the playoffs in seven consecutive seasons under Dungy, who joined Indianapolis in 2002 after a six-year stint as head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Despite entering the postseason as the league’s hottest team with a nine-game winning streak, the Colts were knocked out of the playoffs with 23-17 loss at San Diego on January 3.
Indianapolis already has a coach-in-waiting. Associate head coach Jim Caldwell already has been designated as Dungy’s successor by Irsay.
A member of Dungy’s staff since 2002, Caldwell was the Colts’ quarterbacks and assistant head coach until he was elevated to his current position in January 2008.

Currently playing as in playoffs? Of those, I'd take Warner, and MAYBE Roethlisberger.
He didnt exactly light up the Giants yesterday. He made the plays when he had to, but still completed just slightly over 50% of his passes. But his team won, and thats all that matters. That defense is on fire and will carry them, just as they did when they made their run earlier this decade. I dont know of any defensive coordinator's I would take over Jim Johnson.

Yeah, I didn't say there weren't 5 QB's better than him, just it's pretty challenging to do so. Also Favre may be gone so you'd need to put Eli in there, I wouldn't. Rothelisburger just wins games, not sure how, but talentwise I don't think he's great, but that's not what counts, winning does. He's like Derek Jeter, for some reason you can build a franchise with him.

Yeah, he's great as was the guy in Tampa Bay, but I think he's leaving to work with his son in U of Tennessee. For the life of me I can't figure out why Rex Ryan of Baltimore never gets a head coaching job. As for Spagnula, I think he's gone. Considering the Jets & Detroit still haven't hired a head coach (i think) they're waiting for somebody. My guess is he goes to the Jets (just a hunch). Not sure who's gonna take the Lions job, they shouldn't wait, because it's possible people don't want it & will turn it down. Didn't something wierd like that happen with San Diego or Oakland a couple years ago.

I think if Spags leaves, it'll be to the Jets. But the Jets have shown an interest in Ryan, so they may go that direction. If he leaves, we'll know soon as there is nothing left for him to do this season.
Who can we raid from Johnson's assistants to replace Spags?!

Here's an interesting question, if Warner wins another Super Bowl, is he a Hall of Famer?
(3 Super Bowls victories)
He only has one right now, they lost the second to the Pats.
I tell ya what though, I dont really think he is a hall of fame player, a very good one, but not hall of fame. But it would be nearly impossible to keep him out if he wins another. I think I read where only Jim Plunkett is the only QB with multiple Super Bowl wins to not be in the HOF.
