I thought there was a topic already started about this great Aussie rock band, but that must've been on the last incarnation of this site. Anyway, I thought I'd start another topic about them because a) they kick ass, b) they have a new album out soon, and c) Matt Sorum was also involved in the new album too!

The Screaming Jets (3 platinum & 3 Gold albums with a host of Platinum and Gold singles) are finalising their 6th studio album and 1st with US producer Stevie Salas who recently produced Daughtry debut album. Currently being re mixed by legend engineer producer Brandon Frieson (Nickleback) The Jets have also secured a guest on the album, Guns N' Roses drummer Matt Sorum performing percussion. All three hold Grammys in their own right.

Latest word is that the album will be released in September.

The Screaming Jets opened for VR when they toured in Australia back in 2005, so they probably kept in touch since then for Matt to make his appearance on the album.

Cheers for posting, I didn't know they had a new album coming up. I will be interested to hear it. I don't mind a bit of Screaming Jets, last time I saw them was when they played along with Rose Tattoo and the Angels at "The Bon Scott Tribute Concert" here in Perth 2 years ago.

The concerts were to help raise money to erect a statue of Bon Scott in Fremantle.

Hey, you Americans should check this out. The Screaming Jets are playing an exclusive showcase of their new album at The Key Club, Tuesday February 3 in LA.

These guys have been around for a while, but they are an extremely underrated Aussie rock band, especially overseas. Check this gig out to see some really great, no-bullshit guitar-driven rock.

SPREAD THE WORD!!! - The SCREAMING JETS are putting on a SPECIAL PRIVATE VIP RED CARPET showcase on at KEY CLUB in West Hollywood on the 3rd of February and is their first appearance in the USA for over 10 years!!

A fantastic lineup has been put together for the celebration including the Bangkok Five, Ricky Warwick (The Almighty and Circus Diablo), State to State, as well as a special performance by Happenin' Harry and the Haptones All Star Band featuring members of Guns N Roses, Train, Queens of the Stone Age and The Offspring.
