It'd be amazing if they did considering Flacco is the first rookie QB to ever win two playoff games. he'd have to win four if they're gonna win the Super Bowl.

I am one dejected Titan fan right now.  Although it seems to run in the DNA of the franchise Oilers/Titans to have these devastating playoff losses.  I'm trying to figure out which one is the worst--there is a lot to pick from.  The 1992 playoff loss--that's the 35-3 lead that was blown.  How about 1993? They lost to an over the hill Joe Montana.  In 2000, they lost 24-10 when they clearly dominated the Ravens (gained 24 first downs to 7 for the Ravens) and lost because their kicker missed 3 of 4 field goals one of which was returned for the GW touchdown.  I'll probably watch some of the games tommorrow out of habit.

One thing though the Ravens are a cheap bunch.  They tried to seriously injure Chris Johnson in the first half on a run.  Ed Reed came by and as the play was ending he reached back and tried to  break his neck (at least that's how the analyst described it).  That's was uncalled for.  He has entered Rodney Harrison territory for me.  As for the loss itself, I can't totally blame the refs since they didn't make Alge Crumpler fumble inside the 10; or Lendale White fumble inside the 20 either.  I hope the Steelers or Chargers destroy these guys.  Time to root for the NFC teams again.  I really hope the Panthers win the Super Bowl.

You just listed two of my all time favorite football games. I'm a Bills fan, so its obvious why that's on my list, and that Chiefs-Oilers game is classic simply because Montana delivered one of the greatest 'ownings' in sports history. Oilers talked trash all week and Montana systematically destroyed that hyped Ryan defense.

As far as the Ravens go, they've always played ugly.

I'm a dejected football fan cause the game was determind by the refs mistake.

Slashfro the fumbles and turnovers that the Titans commited had already made their impact on the game. The penalties the Titans took throughout the game had played themselves out and despite that they found a way to stay in the game. Refs have a tough job and I hate bagging on them but I aslo hate when one call or missed call especially on a such a  standard play that should NEVER be missed by the officials determines the outcome of the game. That missed call on Flacco was the absolute difference in the game. It extended Baltimore's drive when they should've been punting. They were able to run more time off the clock, force Tennesse to start using timeouts and eventually move into field goal range for the winning kick.  I don't know man. I'm not a Titans fan by any means but I was pissed with how that played out cause the refs blew it and essentially decided the game on their mistake.

Sigh.  I actually enjoyed watching that 1993 defense play the most.  I'm beginning to think Fisher is actually Marty Schotenheimer with a mustache.  Both are good at rebuilding teams from scratch and achieving regular season success.  But when it comes to the playoffs they always end up screwing the pooch somehow or another.

James, why did the Bills retain Dick Jauron?  That move confuses me; the man inspires no confidence.  He's in the good coordinator/bad head coach mold.  Was Ralph Wilson too cheap to fire him? Just wondering.

They do need a QB. They've needed one this entire decade. Bears would have multiple SB rings this decade if they had anyone decent at that position.

Funny though that when they had all the pieces in place for a championship, all they needed was a solid QB. Now that the team has holes all over the place, they decide they want a QB.

and now the vikings have decided to go that route as well. they must really envy the bears.

I'm rooting for a San Diego-Arizona Super Bowl, although I don't expect it.

Re: 2008 NFL season

Eagles vs. Arizona NFC Championship game - anyone have that predicted at the start of the playoffs? Kudos if you did.

Home teams 0-3 in divisional round, maybe home field advantage isn't what it was? Home teams went 2-2 in Wildcard Weekend. Also odd that now that week 17 Giants-Panthers game was absolutely meaningless.
