No.  70 zillion people listened to the first track. The statistics started nosediving with each track, with just a handful listening to Prostitute. This fact was always conveniently omitted at the forums when the myspace stream record was mentioned.

It was the first sign that the album was failing to make a connection with the general public.

Totally agreed Jimmy...

We all knew those numbers were so juiced, and spun.

Still, it's gotta be better than some of these albums. Rick Ross??  I have no idea who that is but I'd be willing to bet that song for song CD outdoes his album. Whoever he is. Probably better than at least half of these.

I think GnR's been blacklisted for some reason. We now have seen 3 lists & all it's made was 39th out of 40 from Spin Magazine. Excluded from Blender & Myspace. I'm not trying to make excuses, but it's gotta be top 20 material out there, better than some of that garbage.

At least they managed to put Mars Volta on the list.

Who are all those "artists" anyway? T.I? Blitzen Trapper?

I don't think they've been blacklisted, I think it's a pretty accurate reflection of how little society cares about this version of GnR and CD.  We're the ones that have twisted perceptions about the importance of Axl Rose and Guns N' Roses, not the rest of the world.

I agree with Buzzsaw.

If Metallica is getting props, GN'R should too, but they aren't. That's a comment on the world just not giving a fuck.

And it's not because they haven't had access to the music. They've had plenty. It just didn't shake the earth for them.
