Re: Beastie Boys To Reissue “Paul’s Boutique”
the reissue gives fans access to a free download of a “track-by-track” album commentary, with Mike D, Ad-Rock and MCA talking about the songs while the track plays in the background, much like Director’s Commentaries on DVDs.
This could be the future of reissues. Certainly creates a huge incentive for fans to buy an album they already have.
I never really dove into this album. My favorite album of theirs is Ill Communication.

Supposedly this is their best one. I've never really heard it all the way thru, but some friends were huge beastie fans. I saw on their Behind the Music this was the album they thought would put them over the top. Very well produced, tons of samples, hooks etc. Then, in 89 it came out & poof, never heard from it at all in the mainstream. It wasn't until Check Your Head where they really became more than the License to Ill/Party band music.

It would be a very good way to jumpstart some dying cd sales.
