I'm not used to following a band that knows how to properly unveil a new song and then release a video for it.....
On a serious note, this video is a very good sign. They wouldn't be bothering with a video if they didn't have more concrete plans on the horizon.

Exactly what I thought, on both parts.
And I can't wait to see what they do with this video.
Even more exciting since all of them seem to want to record new material. Bring it on.

Exactly. Every so often to break the absurdity of Axl, I go out and hang with the Alice In Chains or Dream Theater world. Just to get some sense of normalcy as to how a band should be run and followed by fans.

I heard the song for the first time the other day. Wasn't impressed. Maybe it would grow on me, but I thought it was quite bad the first time around.
To be completely honest, EVERY Soundgarden track was like that with me back in the day, with maybe the exception of Room A Thousand Years Wide.
Soundgarden is a "grower" type of band imo. I felt the same way initially the first time I heard Alice In Chains. Both, I thought they were okay, but the songs grow better with every listen, 'til you hit the point you think these guys are brilliant.
Black Rain is no exception. But I will concede that it's probably a B-side on Badmotorfinger. I wouldn't stop the presses with it.

Cool teaser. Would rather it be the band performing but not really a surprise they went in this direction considering it's in the game.

That's because it was one of the many versions of that track. If/when that box set is ever released, I would like to see how Fell On Black Days evolved every step of the way. The original demo is entirely different from Black Days and Black Rain.
