Here's what i've read and my reviews.

Slash : (Good read to get slash's perspective on the band break up and other general stuff. It's relatively open in that while he always explains his sides of events and defends himself, you can see at times his drug use and own behaviour is clearly questionable at times too. I know people at HTGTH like to take shots at this book, but considering's written years after the fact and by an admitted one-time heavy drug user, i think it's good for getting slash's side of the story...it may or may not be history book accurate but it's the world as he sees it and that's valid for what it is.)

The Dirt : Really enjoyed this one. It actually served to increase my interest in motley crue quite a lot. It's cool cos you get the whole band (and hangers on) accounts of various things, and at times they don't agree showing how each person is viewing the event from their own perspective. It gives you a new appriciation of drugs, life at the top of the rock world and the sort of crazy life some stars lead. It's a fun book. Quite inspirational.

Mick Wall's Axl Bio: Not sure what I think about this. At times there were things I felt were inaccurate even with my fan based memory of events, which made me question his account of events I hadn't known of. But it's valid as his version of events as defense of Axl's attacks on him at least I guess. The problem with this book is Wall hasn't known axl for many years now and it shows. It's also out of date re the assumptions about Chinese Democracy. Basicly at times there's an interesting story which makes it worth a glance, but the second half get's pretty old. It does give quite a damning report of the tour though - all the cancelations and dramas...does make you realise life for the managers etc can't be super easy.

I've purchased Tommyland about Tommy Lee but not read it yet. Be interested to read more bios tho and other members opinions about what's good and why.

I have Tommyland as well, but it's just so God-awful I can't get into it.

If you're into Aerosmith at all the Aerosmith one is pretty good.  I think it was called "Walk This Way: The Rise And Fall And Rise of Aerosmith".  It's set up pretty much the same way "The Dirt" is, not quite as crazy though.

The heroin diaries was pretty good actually...different in layout and it really glimpsed into a disturbed mind, and it got me interested in the dirt, if you've read the dirt and not the heroin diaries i'd def recoommend it , its a nice supplemant to that book, the little blurbs by people that sixx knew at the tiem were cool too, and also sixx comments from now to his thoughts/actions back then...anyway read it its good...specially if you are any kind of fan of the crue you will appreciate it

the dirt was a decent read, the part about Neil's daughter is really sad, it was tough for me to get through mostly cuz i have a daughter the same age as vincce's was when she died, but the layout of the dirt as i'm sure most of you know is a bit about each memeber of the band (inluding corabi when his time comes and goes) it makes you realize how messed they were, and how much pressure was on them internally ...also for both books we get glimpese of gnr now and then, slash mostly as a part time Nikki co-druggie

slash...well love it or hate it, i thought it was good insight to gnr, other peopel say differently, reckless life was good too, a close up outsider view on the rise to fame for gnr..but we've all discussed those to death around here so i dont hink i need to say more

the timebag darrell book is unofficial, i think vinnie paul even tried to block its release, sposed to be a good one though will post more after i read it, there is another book that focuses mostly on the other poepel who died in the Damageplan show where dime died, i'll decide whether to get that one after i finish black tooth grin

the cobain books...i was a big nirvana fan, and always been meaning to get these 2 books, looking forward to them both, again will post reviews after i finish

not a RHCP fan but i'm told scar tissue is good
