Re: Guns N' Roses Plan 'Secret Shows' In South America
Even if it's bullshit, at least who ever wrote this used the word "Private" LOL

Re: Guns N' Roses Plan 'Secret Shows' In South America
Serious question. Does this happen with other bands? I've lost count of the times tour related stuff gets announced, then GNR come out and debunk it (credit to them for doing that). I'm not even pointing fingers at anyone in particular but do other bands get false dates banded around by promoters that band representatives have to then come out and deny?
Just seems to happen an awful lot with GNR.

No cash grab show is good news to me.
I don't want them to play more 'private shows', unless it's open for the fans. What's next, playing at Roman Abramovic's or Vladimir Putin's birthday?

It doesn't seem to make much sense for media outlets to announce "surprise" shows. Where's the surprise in that? And what right do they have to break that surprise? Now I realize, Axl announced the "surprise" NY gigs beforehand, but at least that's from the man himself.

Ok.
Saw this story on Billboard, then saw it on htgth. Fernando had the following to say in the thread though:
Sorry guys, there will not be three secret shows in South America. Sorry for the confusion, some people just need to be quiet and enjoy the sun.
as well as:
It'll happen, not for the SA tour, but future ones.
I think Fernando was referring to a live streamed concert with his comment about that happening in the future. That's how I took it at least.
