Well I'm thinking about doing some horticulture courses, its relevant to what I'm doing every day as well as to all my other qualifications. I've never studied from home though, it would be quite strange and I would miss the interaction you get with lecturers and other students, I think that helps you absorb all the info.
By just getting all the literature in the post, working at your computer and getting feedback by email, would make it all a lot harder to stay motivated I think, thats my biggest doubt.
I'm planning on giving it a go, I need some extra stimulation and challenges. If it turns out ok I can see myself becoming hooked and trying all kinds of things outside my work field. Theres all kinds of open university courses you can sit over here, I wouldnt mind doing something a bit different like astronomy.
