Re: Chris Cornell does song on New Slash record
Yeah, but can you eat an elephant turd? On youtube even?
I feel like eating that elephant turd just so it doesn't keep getting mentioned. I know you(and around 20-30% of our active users) were at the old site its first year(2006 for those not around then), but this "joke" flies over the head of most people here, which is why so few comment on it when you, CSS, or someone else brings it up from time to time.
I do think its funny and have gave you karma for using the reference before with good timing, but like ROV, I think the coffin needs to be nailed shut on it and maybe even burned to prevent a resurrection.
Would be a different story if we had access to those files and could pull up posts showing how that whole thing developed, but as we both know, that's not possible.
It sort of reminds of that brief moment when I did that forum 'Unleashed' years ago, which I distinctly remember you were a member of. That site during its short duration amazingly pulled in some casual fans and non forum junkies, and when I would name drop specific incidents from ROV, it just confused people there because they had no involvement in any of that and didn't know what I was talking about. My solution? I stopped bringing it up.
I have something else I'd like to address regarding that episode in our community's evolution(pun intended), but I'll do that in a PM.
Now back to regularly scheduled programming of Cornell being the highlight of Slash's solo album.
Re: Chris Cornell does song on New Slash record
I won't bring it up again.
Anyway... I can't wait to hear this track.
As long as they do something quite different I'll be satisfied.
Well, I probably will be either way - but if wishful thinking was allowed!
