Re: Songs you listen to when depressed
I have some of the ones listed above too, but here are some more that definitely elicit a response from me when I hear them.
Behind Blue Eyes - The Who or even the Limp Bizkit version
Sounds of Silence - Simon & Garfunkle
Mad World - the Gary Jules version
Forever Autumn - Justin Hayward (i.e. the song on the War of the Worlds soundtrack)
My Immortal - Evanescence
Brothers in Arms - Dire Straits
Angie - The Rolling Stones
With or Without You - U2
- Communist China

The entire "Jar of Flies" EP by Alice in Chains is my go-to. Rotten Apple and Nutshell specifically.
Matchbox 20 - Long Day, Kody
Smashing Pumpkins - Soma
Blind Melon - S/T record starting from Change to the end.
Chris Cornell - When I'm Down, Friend for the End of the World,
Mad Season - Wake Up, I'm Above, Artificial Red, Long Gone Day
Faith No More - Just a Man
Mark Lanegan - Wedding Dress, Bombed
Usually Layne Staley's voice is the best when I'm feeling a little down.
Re: Songs you listen to when depressed
i find that i dont listen to anythign in partiular...but i get more picky on what i am listening to...if that makes sense, like if i'm bummed out and a song that i dont particularily care for comes on the radio then i get pretty cranky

Yeah, many is the time I've nearly put my foot through the car stereo
On the other hand, a unexpected song can also speak to you on a level that would never have imagined, even if you were unprepared to give it half a chance previously.
