Re: Slash to Axl: "Whatever, Dude."
^ I've never said that.
Anyway, sorry guys for being a"Guns N' Roses" fan
I was just giving you a hard time.. No worries.
Re: Slash to Axl: "Whatever, Dude."
Nice responce from Slash, I always thought a shrug and a "whatever dude" would be a fitting responce to such a venomous and spiteful attack on him.
I still cant seem to locate this outrageous slander that Slash said about Axl every day for 15 years, all I find is the same allegations Duff and Izzy had to say about him. I do have an interview where he says basically he quit because Axl was an "asshole" though
Axls reputation was ruined by his own actions and was widely disliked in pop culture by 92.
Re: Slash to Axl: "Whatever, Dude."
I know this isn't the uncool thread, but Olorin's post reminds me that the GnR being uncool perception might really be more of an Axl is uncool thing. He was the one attacking Cobain, he was the over the top guy, huge videos, etc. As much as everyone wants to say that Axl moved on and took GnR forward, I think you can make a case that it is Axl that never moved forward. His music is still over the top, bloated, full of excesses, etc.
Re: Slash to Axl: "Whatever, Dude."
Kudos to Slash for taking the high road. Slash lives in the here and now and doesn't have the desire to jerk off to bullshit that happened 14 years ago. Axl should follow the path that Slash chooses to walk.
Olorin, you'll never find all the quotes the Axl fans proclaim Slash said because they simply do not exist. Of course Slash has mentioned Axl in various interviews over the years when asked. However, its just generalizations and then he quickly moves on to discuss whatever project he's working on at the time.

Dude, I have been going toe to toe with Jarmo's ass on HTGTH on this. We were polite, eventually I gave up, he just doesn't get it.
Re: Slash to Axl: "Whatever, Dude."
Slash had the right reaction. If all Axl can do after releasing an album that was like 15 years in the making is complain about Slash then let him do it. I wish Axl would talk more about the making of CD and less about how Slash may actually be the Devil's spawn. It was fine the first time to put the reunion rumors to rest but now it is old.
