Yeah I remember there being reports that Midlife Crisis would be on the last Disturbed album, and I was disappointed when I saw the tracklist and saw it wasn't. I'll be stealing or buying that track as soon as I can.

I'm not a big Disturbed fan either, but i'm really anxious to hear their version of Midlife Crisis. Quite possibly the greatest song of the FNM catalog.

Just looked it up Supaplex, you're right. It was done as a demo first, and that's what's floating around.

The version for this covers album, is supposed to be an all-new version tho, according to some fans.

I'm listening to the demo right now, and personally I don't like it. It adds nothing. The cover is good, but it's a total note-for-note remake of FNM's original. Even the vocals are almost identical to Patton's. Doesn't really add anything, like say GNR's Live and Let Die, or even Disturbed's version of Land of Confusion.

I know Midlife Crisis is a masterpiece of a song, but at least you could put your own stamp on it. This just sounds like a good FNM tribute band.

When FNM covered other acts they were pretty much note for note the same, but they still did a nice job on them. I'll wait for this final released version before listening to a demo.

I disagree. FNM put their own stamp on songs like War Pigs & Easy.

This demo of Disturbed's Midlife Crisis, is like a facsimile, from the vocals, to the guitars, to the drums.

disturbed's version of midlife crisis sounds almost identical to the FNM version... the difference being it's sterility....

disturbed should worry about writing their own tunes instead of covering everyone under the sun
