Who here has heard of "real dolls"? There apparently very lifelike sex toy. Howard Stern made them famous years ago when they got one for their studio and took turns "testing it out".
Anyways, here is a documentary about guys who cannot find love in real people, and end up having relationships (fucking) their dolls.
This shit is disturbing on so many levels.
Oh and before you ask, No this isnt a satire or anything. Its real.

I remember when I first caught the trailer for the Ryan Gosling film '˜Lars and the Real Girl', I thought the subject matter could be a little too quirky to take seriously. The film, produced by Channel Five in the UK, tells the story of a lonely man who tries to pass of a '˜Real Doll' as his girlfriend. Ridiculous! Well, thanks to Sean (someone who's constantly searching the net for stories of synthetic love) '˜Guys and Dolls' is a documentary that makes '˜Lars and the Real Girl' look like '˜When Harry Met Sally'. Now I haven't had a chance to watch this thing yet (i'm guessing it's NSFW) but I had heard of this some time ago. Here's a synopsis (from The DigiGuide, via The Current Outlook):
Documentary about the men who use sophisticated life-size dolls for sexual satisfaction and more - such as dates, affection and lifelong companionship. Featuring a young American man who gives his doll daily massages in the home he shares with his disapproving Mum and Dad; a British man who takes his doll out on day trips to the coast where she watches him hang- glide; and two Americans who live with multiple dolls, one of whom shares his eight synthetic lovers with his human girlfriend.
Sounds like some good clean fun! Seriously, this is pretty strange and makes me feel much better about the Star Trek 2: Wrath of Khan 25th Anniversary U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 16-inch Starship I just bought. You can check out the entire film below thanks to Google Video. I know i'm going to as soon as I get home and finish assembling my starship and placing it in my display case.

That was a very good movie. Anways this stuff is pretty sick, not meaning it cant be done but it isn't part of the long term behavior of socially healthy people.

Watched this last night. I've never understood the mindset of these types of people. What sucks is this film tells us very little about these people and glosses over way too much stuff. How do their families react? How do they function in society? Were they abused? List goes on and on. This isn't a very good documentary. After I watched this I spent about an hour looking for articles dealing with this subject.
I can understand the fear of being alone, but this takes it to an extreme level. There have been points in my life where I've went a few years without dating yet it never crossed my mind to do something as drastic as this. I actually like certain aspects of being single. Why cant these people embrace the good things about being alone instead of living with an inanimate object and loving it as if its a real person?
That guy who's been in a 'relationship' with his doll for six years needs massive psychological help.

I'll watch this a little later. I saw these things on a Real Sex episode a few year ago. They make some do some crazy shit. But me personally could never fuck a doll. I would rather try my luck on a breathing lady than a plastic one.
