Re: Mank Rage
The band featuring Paul Huge/Tobias.
Check it out:

When their album is done, I'm hoping we can schedule a chat.
Give em a listen and post your feedback here.
Re: Mank Rage
I just stumbled across this on wikipedia and was about to post a thread about this.
The music is pretty good, if some of these songs like "Retro" & "Junk" were released on a "Alice In Chains" record... they'd be very much appreciated.
Tobias apparently has developed a habit of taking a while to release music he's on.

mank Rage are working towards making their CD available. Who you say?
mank Rage include Dave Lank (co-writer of Don't Damn Me) and Paul "Huge" Tobias (co-writer of Back Off Bitch, Oh My God). The CD is co-produced by the band (mank Rage), Axl and Tim Gedemeer.
The songs on the CD were recorded quite some time ago, but the band feels the music stands the test of time and is still as relevant today as it was when recorded
They are also trying to put together a website where you can download some songs.

It will secretly be released with Axl on vocals and will be declared as the real Chinese Democracy. IT STARTS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111111111
In all seriousness though I'm actually quite interested in this. It's obvious Tobias was a big player in the writing of some songs on CD.
EDIT: Did not realise this news from the HTGTH archive. Okay I'll give up hope of ever seeing this.

That's the real reason I highlighted the co-produced by Axl part and wrote *Yikes*.
Re: Mank Rage
I don't really give a shit about this project anymore. Talked to Dave a couple times last year on myspace, and then when asking if Tobias would be open to doing an interview or chat with this website, totally blew me off and never even responded. I had even offered to have a page featuring Mank Rage here if/when their album ever sees the light of day.
When websites offer to promote your shit, shouldn't be so quick to blow them off, especially when the website shows up on page one of internet searches for your band.
Re: Mank Rage
Who gives a crap. For every There Was A Time, Catcher In The Rye & Prostitute that Paul has a writing credit on, he's also got Back Off Bitch, Oh My God & I.R.S.
Plus the man is an Axl loyalist. His interview would probably be as interesting as seeing Del James on That Metal Show.

I very much like those 3 songs and so does the majority of the fan base.

According to Axl, there wouldn't be a "Chinese Democracy" without him.
Re: Mank Rage
Dude... come on. The 'majority' of the fan base DO NOT like Bitch, OMG or IRS. You know that, unless you've only been around the last 10 minutes.
And I did acknowledge TWAT, which is referred across the board, almost, as the best song on the album, as well as many who feel it's one of the best GN'R tunes.
As for the "there wouldn't be CD" thing... whatever. Just Axl's typical trying to convince people to like someone they just don't.
I'd rather talk to Chris Pitman. Been there from the start of the album, almost, and is just involved as Axl, and Chris makes Paul seem like a bit player.
