Yeah, the promotion for this film has been subpar at best. Like you, I had completely forgot about it until someone mentioned it to me.

I really hope he avoids the typical "Shyamalan twist". Its become even more predictable than droning dialog in a Tarantino film.

Wasn't Signs a Shymalan film? I seem to remember that being fairly twistless, the only one of his films I know of that is though.

The "twist" in Signs is that the aliens could be killed by water yet invade a planet covered in it. Not a typical twist, but still a twist.

I really like that film. That news footage of the alien is off the hook.

I have to say I was really disappointed with The Village and Lady in The Water tanked so I hope this movie is better then those.  I really liked The Sixth Sense and Signs.   I guess I'll give this a shot as it looks intriguing.

Strange, I thought The Sixth Sense and (especially) Signs to be far inferior to The Village and Lady In The Water. But maybe that's 'cause I'm a big fan of his cinematography, and can enjoy a nicely shot movie with oodles of atmosphere even if it boasts a predictable or textbook story.

I'm not particularly a fan of Shyamalan's, but he has his moments so I like to approach his flicks on a case by case basis. This looks unappealing to me. And Lofton, I'm surprised at the Tarantino slam. Like with Kevin Smith, as a fan I find his often hyper-real dialogue exchanges quirky and charming. The fact the characters speak in an otherwise totally unnatural, forced way and spew out words that are distinctly Tarantino's is so ... refreshing.
