Re: New Kids on the Block to Reunite?
I think this will be huge if they do a tour. Millions of women between 20 and 40 all over the world be trying to get tickets. It's going to be a lot bigger than The Spice Girls.
New Kids on the Block Exclusive New Song!
Posted on Jan 30 2008 - 11:40am by eGossip StaffNew Kids on the Block fans are going crazy trying to figure out if a reunion is in the works by the five boys who melted the hearts of millions of girls over a decade ago.
Members of the highly popular band from the late 80's and early 90's include brothers Jordan and Jonathon Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg and Danny Wood. But is the much anticipated comeback really happening or are the former boy-toys simply toying with our minds?
The NKOTB official website had been dormant for years but is now back up and running, leading many to believe that the former boy band is preparing for a reunion.
And while many were hesitant to believe the news, the updated site now features a teaser to a new song by the band with words reading "Are you Ready?"
The new video on the site shows clips of the band circa the 80's and 90's while displaying the following messages one by one:
"They rose from the streets of Boston. They influenced a generation. They sold over 70 million albums and grossed more than one billion dollars. Then they walked away from it all. Millions of fans around the world await their return. Are you ready?"

I think it'll flop. The little girls grow up, most of them has a family and doesn't get wet by some middle-aged has-beens.

Re: New Kids on the Block to Reunite?
I think Danny Wood was recently part of some reality show where they got ex-members of boybands together to form a 'super boyband'. I believe it was a flop of the highest order which given that Danny Wood, Bradley from S Club, Dane Bowers and Shrek from Hear Say were in it can't have been unexpected.
I briefly loved NKOTB as a kid and I have to say, I'd far rather see the Spice Girls.

Re: New Kids on the Block to Reunite?
I really can't see it doing well for these reasons
A: the girls into them back then have definitely grown up and if they are doing the same music how can a woman now in her 30's really get into it anymore. And how weird to see them 20 years older and doing teeny bopper music, not good in my opinion. That type of music is not timeless where you can do it so many years later and it be "cool" ya know. The Right Stuff and Hand tuff, I don't think so.
B: I wouldn't think they are going to appeal to the younger generation because they are older and not a pretty boy looking as they were.
