Re: [FLAC/MP3] Hollywood Rose complete collection
And here's a second pre-classic era bit for today.
I've been going through Hollywood Rose recordings, sorted them out chronologically by "source release date" with associated releases from the same source, and packed into this file.
Included is a text file with details I've collected around the interwebz. Credit goes, among others, to Dark Globe at chinesedemocracy.com (now inaccessible) and Redman at Blogspot http://chinese-democracy.blogspot.com/2 … demos.html
So, what is and what isn't in this file?
01 - Johnny Kreis tape (3 tracks) [***NOT INCLUDED - I don't have this one, and I'm really not sure it circulates in its original form***]
02 - eBay demo (4 tracks, circulating as "1983 Rose Demos") [MP3 - lossless version probably doesn't exist]
02B - Appetite for Outtakes (made from the eBay demo) [FLAC]
02B - Early Demos '81-'86 (made from the eBay demo) [FLAC]
02B - The Hell Revisited (made from the eBay demo) [FLAC]
03 - Rick Mars tape (8 tracks, circulating as "Rose Demos") [FLAC]
03B - Hairspray Heroes (made from Rick Mars tape) [FLAC]
04 - Hollywood Rose - The Roots of Guns N' Roses (3x5 tracks, source by Chris Weber) [***NOT INCLUDED - officially released***]
04B - The Many Faces of Guns N' Roses (4 tracks, probably also source by Chris Weber) [***NOT INCLUDED - officially released***]
05 - Metal Sludge live recordings (2 tracks) [MP3 - lossless version probably doesn't exist]
Based on the info I'm pretty sure this is all HR stuff that exists in audio.

Just for the completion sake - there's also some video stuff by HR, NOT INCLUDED in this file.
Hollywood Rose - The Roots of Guns N' Roses - Japanese release included a bonus DVD with some HR footage - I don't have the actual DVD altough I'd love to, but you can watch it on YouTube:
VH1 Behind The Music - included some HR footage, different from the Roots release - you can watch it on YouTube:

And then there's a more complete video of a song (hard to tell which one, might be as well just the band pretending to play something), overdubbed with studio demo audio. No idea where it came from, my sources are silent on it.
My Way Your Way overdub - you can watch it on YouTube:
Rocker overdub - seems to come from Cleopatra Records, you can watch it on YouTube:
I don't know of more video stuff out there, but in fact there might be circulating stuff I'm missing.
Enjoy the history, this happened way, way too many years ago!
(and if you think this is actually not a complete list, I'm listening )
