Re: GnREvolution Chinese Democracy Elimination 2015 - Round 1
So 6 and a half years later I thought I might do another Chinese Democracy Elimination...Some people have moved on, some have come back, new faces have arrived, some time has passed and maybe your opinions have changed...lets find out our new consensus favorite Chinese democracy track...one small change, this time we will include 'Oh My God'
Please vote off your LEAST FAVORITE song
As songs are eliminated I will also revive my Dissecting Chinese Democracy series as well and we can talk about the specific songs as they are eliminated
lets shoot for 3 days for round 1...and see where we are at then

Remove 1 vote for Shackler's Revenge and add it to Catcher in the Rye. I voted prematurely.
Loved the demo, hated the musical butchering that ended up on the album.

Scraped. TBH I forget there was even such a song titled that and would've lost a bet if you bet me there was. The song sucks tho, among a couple others but the others I can see what he was trying to do. Scraped I can't, it's just horrid.
Why is OMG on here?
Re: GnREvolution Chinese Democracy Elimination 2015 - Round 1
studio tracks since 1999
Shouldn't the entire "Live Era" album be included then?

"This I Love." Maudlin, melodramatic, and theatrical in all the wrong ways. And my favorite musician is Bowie. This track has aged horribly. It not only represents the worst of cheesy ballads (and goddamn is it cheesy), but it's the perfect example of the downside of the CD era's claustrophobic creative vacuum. Someone, somewhere should have stepped in and nixed this early on. Or helped to work it in a direction that wasn't so... REO Speedwagon. It's not only CD's most disposable song, but perhaps the most disposable song in all the GN'R catalogue. CD already has "Sorry," which is an infinitely better song. To clarify my admittedly peculiar vantage point, I love TSI. I love OMG, too, and think it's the best NuGN'R song--other than "Better"--to see the light of day. And "Shackler's Revenge" kicks ass.
