Crazy how Axl wouldn't let this stuff get used for good movies, but now it is cool to do a reality TV show? Somebody tight on cash? Or does he have no say since he sold his back catalog?

Found about this since my dad loves this show and I was rolling my eyes of the song's use. I honestly think it isn't a big deal and it's just promoting the show using a popular song with Axl's permission. Doubt he's a fan of the show or is that desperate for ad revenue.

True, but he used to not let songs get used in the past... Black Hawk down, etc. now, no big deal. What the fuck?

Yeah, but Axl didn't bomb the Black Hawk Down deal because of the movie. Axl bombed it, because he specifically wanted to use the re-recorded Jungle for it, to cut Slash & Duff out of royalties and they balked. Then he walked.
Or so I remember. But to really ruin everyone's day, according to the original deal, Axl still has full say over HOW the license is used. He just doesn't make any money off of it for the next 20 years I believe.
Which means he greenlit this. Ugh.
